We’re Looking for an RN Supervisor: This position implements standards of resident care on a 24-hour basis in the skilled nursing units of the campus. The RN Supervisor oversees daily nursing operations and ensures quality resident care through effective communication with families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include managing physician orders, participating in care planning and team meetings, and supporting regulatory compliance. The Nurse Manager also provides education, mentorship, and clinical guidance to LPNs and RNs, helping to strengthen clinical skills, documentation practices, and assists with overall staff development. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills, with a commitment to fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence in resident-centered care.

POSITION SUMMARY: Provides supervision of our skilled nursing team and direct resident care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Maintains residents’ charts to include all admission documents, care plans, records of care, and any other documents required by state regulatory agencies.
  • Operates the Skilled Nursing areas in compliance with all regulations from federal, state, or any other governmental agencies having jurisdiction over the campus and act as liaison between the campus and regulatory agencies.
  • Implements the administration of resident medications, assesses response to medications and treatments and makes appropriate adjustments or recommendations for nursing activity to be implemented.
  • Participates in and leads staff meetings and implements nursing programs.
  • Conducts daily resident rounds and initiates corrective action as necessary.
  • Participates in and attends all in-service training and education programs as scheduled.
  • Participates in On Call rotation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Expected Hours of Work:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • This position is very active and requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and climbing.
  • This position will be required to lift or carry weight up to 50 lbs. and ability to push up to 250 pounds independently.
  • The individual must use proper body mechanics to assist residents in their daily living.
  • This position regularly requires long hours and frequent night and weekend work.

TRAVEL: No travel is expected although occasional travel may be required for training sessions, continuing education opportunities, emergency situations, and other company functions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Certification in CPR, AED and First Aide Certification
  • Administrative and management experience required.
  • Two years’ experience in a similar healthcare position preferred.
  • Five years of assisted living healthcare experience desired.
  • Remain in good standing with all standards of the Nurse Practice Act.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
  • Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Ability to use Electronic Records and miscellaneous software and office equipment.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
